The Chaffey College volleyball team displayed grit through three sets on Monday night but came up short against Santa Ana College, falling 25-14, 25-20, 25-19 at the Sports Center. The Panthers generated balanced contributions across the lineup despite the loss.
Bria Love led the offense with eight kills, four service aces, and 12 digs, while Emma Rhodes added six kills and a block assist to provide presence at the net. Kasey Quevedo recorded five kills, and Lauren Medina contributed three kills and five digs.
Madalyn Ayers-Morris directed the attack with 12 assists, adding two service aces and six digs. From the back row, Grace Hoang recorded eight digs and a service ace, while Chloe Pulido tallied nine assists, two digs, and a service ace. Natalia Frausto and Rachel Buck also added service aces to fuel Chaffey's serving game.
Collectively, the Panthers finished with 29 kills, 10 service aces, and 45 digs, working hard to counter the Dons' relentless pressure.
The Panthers will remain at home for their next match, hosting Pasadena City College on Wednesday, September 17, at 6 p.m.
