Karina Parchment Named IEAC Athlete of the Week
Chaffey College freshman forward Karina Parchment has been named the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC) Athlete of the Week for women's soccer for Nov. 3–8.
Parchment delivered one of her strongest performances of the season during a critical stretch of conference play, logging 90 minutes in both matches against College of the Desert and Victor Valley College. Her energy, work rate, and attacking presence were instrumental as the Panthers secured the IEAC conference title.
In Chaffey's matchup against the Roadrunners, Parchment's constant movement off the ball and pressure in the attacking third helped open space for the midfield to create chances, contributing to the Panthers' second-half push that produced the equalizer in the 1-1 draw. She followed that effort with a decisive performance against the Rams, scoring twice to lift Chaffey to a key conference victory and officially clinch the IEAC championship title. Her efficiency in the final third and ability to break defensive lines highlighted her continued growth as one of Chaffey's most reliable attacking threats.
Head Coach Daniel Fox praised Parchment's impact, noting, "Karina's work rate and competitiveness have been a huge part of our success. She steps up in big moments, and her performances this week showed just how important she is to our attack."
