The Chaffey College women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against San Bernardino Valley College on Friday afternoon, earning a hard-fought result on the road in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play.
The Wolverines struck first in the fourth minute and converted a pass to get the early 1-0 advantage. In the 11th minute, San Bernardino Valley was reduced to 10 players. The Panthers responded quickly, equalizing in the 16th minute as Karina Parchment buried a setup from Chloe Rodriguez to level the match at 1-1.
Both teams traded possession and chances for the remainder of the half, with goalkeeper Isabella Ortiz turning away multiple close-range attempts to keep the match even.
