In a hard fought battle, the Panthers edged out Rio Hondo Friday 2-1. The teams were scoreless throughout most of the first period when Alec Hooper knocked one in to close out the half. The next goal wasn't scored until most of the way through the 2nd period. Rio scored their first goal near the end of play to close out the game 2-1. Alex Fonseca returned to goal with 5 saves.
