The Panthers took it to the final seconds tonight in their home/season opener against Glendale College. Trailing at the half 34-30, Chaffey came on strong after the break outscoring the Vaqueros by three but ultimately coming up two points short of a win, 74-73.
Leading the Panthers in their first competitive game in 20 months was out-of-state star Eulysses Foston with 17 points including three 3s. Foston comes to Chaffey via Georgia Military College Prep (Milledgeville, GA). Local player Jozelle Carter added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
Friday night's game vs San Diego Mesa has been postponed due to COVID. The Panthers will resume play next Wednesday at Santiago Canyon College.
